As most of you probably know the Met Gala was held on the 5th of
May 2014, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. This event was jam
packed with many inspiring celebrities flying over to attend the fundraiser in
style (of course)! With the event hosted by the famous, Anna Wintour, the celebrities were under pressure to dress to impress, and they did not
disappoint!! Many of the world’s best designers had their outfits displayed by
the glamorous women who attended, and I for one could NOT GET ENOUGH of them.
However, as always, not everyone dressed to expectation and honestly there were quite a few dresses which did not live up to my personal taste. Many were definitely extravagant and truly creative (to say the least).
Anyway, I thought it was only fitting to write a blog post on my favourite outfits I saw from the red carpet, although there was so many to choose from! They all looked so amazing! The dresses were, of course, so on trend with many bold and pastel colours being displayed for spring. The red carpet was like fashion heaven and I would kill to be wearing the dresses these empowering women flaunted.
There was a variety of styles being shown off, from fishtail gowns to fairy-tale dresses and of course there were plenty of dresses with a long trail (how could you resist)! I would definitely LOVE to own one of these fabulous masterpieces in my wardrobe; however I would never be able wear it. I think it would just be worn around the house everyday and I would glare at how pretty it was. (Slightly off topic there, apologies).

Here are a few of my favourite gowns from the evening...

Blake lively- wearing a champagne coloured
dress from Gucci with an amazing back drape
and small trail adding a statement effect to the
design.

Kendall Jenner- wearing a pale pink
Topshop corset gown, with a statement
Chopard diamond choker necklace creating
a flawless look. I also
love mermaid
silhouette as it creates the perfect curves.

Rihanna- wearing a crop top with an amazing
draped skirt, co-designed with Stella McCartney.
I completely love the embellished detail/
jewellery to give a turtle neck effect. |

Reese Witherspoon- wearing Stella McCartney
gown and matching lipstick. This is definitely
a bold colour perfect for spring. This is also a
classic look/style often worn by
ReeseWitherspoon.

Amber Heard- wearing Giambattista
Valli
Haute Couture gown with embellished
design and a statement lipstick colour. This old
glamour look suits her perfectly.
