Is it me or did 2015 fly by? I cannot believe how quickly the year went and how much changed. For me, one of the biggest parts was moving to London and finally living the independent life.

With 2016 well underway, already half way through January (WHAT!!) the possibilities of the year are endless. Yes we have all probably made New Year's resolutions and failed them already but nonetheless, you still have time to set your self some more.. realistic goals to complete. Forget trying to become super healthy and perfect. Focus more on an aspiration or something you want to complete, aim to tick something off of your bucket list by the end of 2016.

So farewell to 2015 and hello to the New Year.

My View

Since moving to London, everything has become a little busy, leaving me with no downtime to sit, relax and just write. But seeing as December has approached and the year is ending, I feel as though I can finally relax. In doing so, I thought it was time for a little revamp of the blog and for it to continue yet again, but with a slightly more personal theme. I live in London. There are so many things to do, see and visit and I think documenting some of that will be fun. I guess I will just see where the journey takes this blog and I.

I have to say that one of the things I love most about this city is how you everything right at your fingertips. Literally, for me, I step outside and look to my right, I can see the Shard, and to my left, the London Eye. Its aesthetically pleasing and beautiful in its own way, with both modern and tradition building side by side, you never fall short on a view.

Yes, ridiculous I know. Christmas is less that two weeks away, will the countdown well underway, there is so much left to do! Buy presents, look for Christmas outfits, bake and prepare for the big day.

I have to say Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year (cliché I know), just because everything looks 100 times prettier with all the sparkling lights. But it's not just about how it looks, it's also the atmosphere and traditional Christmas activities. That's another thing about being in London around Christmas time, the overall atmosphere of everything is incredible, with everyone sharing and celebrating one thing together.

One of the cutest things to do during December, is visit Christmas Markets, no matter how big or small, they are always fun. Outside the Tate Modern, on the South Bank, a small Christmas Market is hosted.

Obviously, I had to go. With several different stalls selling a range of products- from snow globes to chestnuts, the atmosphere and view was amazing.

If you have been following my Instagram account (@thatsmyobsession) *cheeky self promo* then you may have noticed that I have recently visited the new Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition in London. This exhibition comes after the new Autumn/ Winter 2015/16 collection and retraces Nicholas Ghesquiére's inspiration, through past, present and future influences.

As you can expect, the exhibition itself was incredible! From the 'Infinite Show' where you can relive the experience of the Louis Vuitton A/W 15/16 collection. This room is a replica of the Louis Vuitton Foundation in which the original collection was unveiled; showcasing designs from the front row of the catwalk around the room, projecting the idea that you were really there. To the 'Wardrobe Sensation' room where garments from the collection were on display for you to view and engage in, feeling the material and observing the intrinsic detailing created.

The layout of the inspiration behind the collection was jaw dropping, literally, with the simplicity of the effortless and minimalistic presentation of the exhibition, leaving me in a trance like state, wanting it to continue on as I came to the exit.

The thing I love most about Winter has to be the warm clothes! I love the over-sized coats, the winter boots and all things knitted. My main reason for this, is the cold, sunny days with frost as its looks just like a scene from a movie.

So for today's outfit I decided to make my main feature a pair of printed leggings, keeping the overall colour scheme, surprise surprise, wintery in monochrome. Tis the season where it is actually acceptable to be wearing A LOT of black, which my wardrobe is made out of.

I paired the leggings with a black crop top and black over-sized coat to complete the look. I love over-sized coats purely for their effortless, yet chic look they can produce.

To finish it all off, I wore my new obsession!! My Riverisland heeled boots with a metal trim and mini tote bag to match. My love for these shoes is ridiculous! I think the two-toned material, suede and plastic, give an amazing textured look, making them very suitable for both day and night.

Not forgetting another statement piece of the outfit, a Winter floppy hat! I'm not one to go for something so different; it’s fair to say this is out of my comfort zone. However, I love the chic look it can create, and the fact you can put little effort into your hair!
